Privacy statement

Eetcafé 't Gasthuys (Grimburgwal 7, 1012 GA Amsterdam) handles your data with care. Below you can read which data we use, what for and for how long.

What data?
- When you book a table: your name, phone number, email address, number of guests, date and time, and anything you write in the comments.
- When you email us: your email address and what you write to us.

What for?
- To process and confirm your booking, and to contact you if needed (for example for a group request).
- We do not use your data for advertising and never sell it.

How long do we keep it?
- Bookings and the emails about them are deleted automatically 12 months after the date of the booking.
- Backups of our website are deleted after 30 days.

Who has access?
- Only staff of 't Gasthuys, through a secured admin area.
- Our website is run by a hosting provider and we use Google Workspace for email. They only process data on our behalf.

Cookies and statistics
- We use a necessary cookie to protect forms. We do not use cookies to track you or for advertising.
- Only if you click 'Yes, fine' during your visit do we use Google Analytics to keep anonymous statistics about how the website is used, such as which pages are viewed most. Your IP address is shortened. Your choice is remembered in your browser and you can change it at any time via 'Cookies' at the bottom of the page.

- You may view, correct or delete your data. Email us at info@gasthuys.nl.
- Not happy with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
